What I don’t like about Muscle Gaining Secrets
As I said before this an honest review of the program. I’m not gonna praise every aspect of it if I actually don’t like something.
One of the main things I don’t like about the Muscle Gaining Secrets book is that Jason relies on pictures to describe each of the exercises. Complicated lifts like the deadlift and the squat can not be described to a new lifter with 2 pictures.
I think a video section would have been a very beneficial addition for the Muscle Gaining Secrets ebook.
What I like about Muscle Gaining Secrets
Everything is laid out for you – All of your workouts and diet plans have been already made and are laid out for you so you don’t have to worry about what to eat, or what lifts to do. Jason lays this out for you in an easy to understand format.
He focuses on compound lifts – If you’ve read our site before you know we love compound lifts like squats, deadlifts and shoulder presses. A lot of muscle building programs focus on bodybuilding exercises like bicep curls, which are a waste of time for someone who is undersized. Why would you work one muscle, when you can work multiple muscles at the same time? Jason knows this and focuses your training on compound lifts.
You only need to workout 3x per week – Let’s face it, unless you’re a professional athlete it’s tough to fit 6 workouts per week into your schedule. When using the big compound lifts like Jason recommends, there’s no need for skinny guys to lift 6x per week. It actually would hurt you because your body won’t be able to recover quick enough from the previous workout.
Your nutrition plan is already made for you – Nutrition is the most important part when it comes to gaining weight. You can lift all you want, but if you’re not eating enough calories you wont build muscle. I really like how Jason makes it a point to tell you this and also to lay out your meal plans for you. Most skinny guys don’t eat enough to gain weight, but Jason shows you quality meals you can make (you don’t need to be a good cook either) that will pack muscle onto your body.
Explains reps, sets and recovery in detail – I think a lot of lifters are very confused when it comes to how many reps they should be doing for each exercise. Jason goes over all of this in detail and explains it in an easy to understand way.
Workouts for Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced lifters – This is a great idea and I like that Jason wrote out programs for each level. Once you’re done with each level of the program you can just move on to the next one which is already written out for you. The levels also build on each other so you’re getting the most muscle gain possible.
I could go on and on because I really think this is the most indepth muscle building ebook out there, but these were my favorites.
